Snorkelers can explore coral reefs, see colorful tropical fish, and even spot turtles and dolphins in the distance.
2. Tour the Animal Rescue Center
The Animal Rescue Center at Little French Key is home to hundreds of rescued animals—including birds, sloths, monkeys, parrots, and even a few cats. AND! They will even let you hold one of the parrots or sloths, and feed monkeys.
On this tour, you’ll learn about the work that goes into rescuing and caring for these animals, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with some of the residents.
Also, it offers multiple animal encounters, where guests can get up close and personal with the animals.
3. Horseback riding
You can take a guided tour along the beach, where you’ll get to experience the beautiful scenery and wildlife up close. As part of the tour, you’ll also have the opportunity to ride your horse into the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.
I love Horseback riding! and doing it in the water was a unique experience I had never done before. If you are a horse fanatic like myself, this is another great activity to do in Little French Key and the perfect way to end your day.
4. Kayaking or Paddleboarding
This is a fun activity and great if you have kids! they will have a few kayaks and paddle boards handy for everyone to use and the water is so shallow, you will not need to be scared! My favorite part is how close everything is, so you can supervise your family members while you sit comfortably in the lounge chairs.
5. Swimming with pigs
Swimming with pigs in Little French Key is one of the most famous activities and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Located on the eastern side of the island, there are two different enclosures filled with pigs – one for adults and one for piglets.
The adult enclosure will have visitors swim alongside these sociable pigs, who are more than happy to paddle alongside you and soak up some sun. These piggies are no strangers to human interaction and are known to be quite sociable, so don’t be surprised if they come right up to you for a quick scratch behind the ears or a pat on the back.
The piglets, on the other hand, are quite curious and enjoy playing, so be prepared for some piglet-sized mischief as they follow you and attempt to take your snorkeling equipment. You can’t help but smile at these cute little piglets, who will make your swim so much more fun.

Sit back in a lounge chair on the beach or right by the pool and soak up some sun, while enjoying the sound of waves crashing in the distance. There is a multitude of gorgeous spots around the beaches.

If you are visiting little french key through a cruise excursion, they will arrange for different drivers to pick you up from the port and take you there! The best way to get to Little French Key is by boat, it will take you about 30 mins total travel time.
If you are in Roatan, you can take a boat and it will take about 10 minutes to reach the private island. Or if you are not staying in Roatan you can also take the ferry from La Ceiba, Honduras. The ferry departs from the Paseo Maritimo dock and takes approximately 45 minutes to arrive at Little French Key.
